Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain you will primarily be responsible for providing first level functional support to all internal stakeholders and external suppliers so that purchasing transactions are undertaken and processed in an efficient and timely manner. Client Details Based at the manufacturing site at Castleford, you will work as part of a small team and will be responsible for the transactional procurement activities to ensure that the delivery of goods and services are provided in accordance with purchasing and finance policies and procedures Description Work in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, 37001 and 18001 procedures. Monitor & manage all incoming purchase requests for indirect product and services. Purchasing of materials in accordance with business requirements Monitoring and distribution of call-off orders including stock items and production demand items. Provide support to Head of Supply Chain where required. Maintenance of Approved Suppliers List. Collate and maintain Open order / Expediting report. Invoice / Query administration / Collation of dashboard Any other role specific tasks required Profile Self-starter with excellent initiative to problem solving and planning. Must have strong Excel skill set. Purchasing experience desirable, especially within a lean manufacturing environment. Demonstrates a good business mindset when working within teams and with senior management. Must be administratively strong and very organised. Willingness to develop and take on strong objectives.
