Full training and IT equipment will be provided. The role will be working from home but we may be able to arrange for a candidate to work in an office if preferred. Candidates will need to attend County Hall in Matlock, Derbyshire on the first day to collect IT equipment (unless this is a major barrier and the candidate lives in Derbyshire, then we may be able to deliver).

Hours will be 37 each week but there may be some flexibility in daily start/finish times as long as least one member of the team of 3 is able to many the duty desk between 9am and 5pm.
We are looking for 3 business services assistants / team co-ordinators to assist our Children’s Services department in managing the administration process for distributing time limited grant funding to families facing financial hardship this winter.
The role will involve receiving and processing financial assessments carried out by children’s social care staff and partner agencies, undertaking quality assurance/basic checks on eligibility, recording awards on our systems and liaising with colleagues to arrange payments.
The role while also require some basic reporting to managers on the total number and cost of awards distributed.
Applicants will need to have a full understanding of data protection and confidentiality principles.
The role will also involve providing a ‘duty desk’ service (via emails and Microsoft Teams) to assist social care staff and professionals from partner agencies who have queries and questions about the fund and the assessment/application process. I
t will be important to build good relationships with children's social care staff and offer them support and guidance as they carry out this unfamiliar role (carrying out financial assessments)
