Howdens Joinery are looking for an experienced Senior Insights Manager to join us, at our new purpose-built office in Raunds, Northamptonshire, or our site in Howden, East Yorkshire. As a FTSE 250 business which is undergoing an exciting period of transformation and growth, you will join us in your newly created role to take the lead and develop your team whilst being accountable for generating insight driven recommendations, informing and influencing decision making and identifying commercial opportunities that support key commercial objectives and strategies. As Senior Insights Manager you will report directly to the Head of Insights, managing internal and external resource, leading key strategic research projects and providing valuable information and recommendations that supports the executive team with key data that drives the 5-year plan and annual strategy planning, resource. Tracking competitor activity through in-depth knowledge of competitor intelligence and anticipating market performance to identify further opportunities for growth and market share gain Key to your role is your ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data, summarising the intel gathered, pulling out the "so what" and translating the information into actionable insights to playback recommendations and influence stakeholders in a dynamic and engaging way. A natural leader, you will motivate, develop, and inspire your team to maintain high performance and enable individuals to reach their full potential. You will be confident in building effective working relationships both internally and externally, across multiple business areas including Category management, Product Development, Marketing and Digital, and with a network of suppliers and agencies to support and validate opportunity proposals. Key skills and experience required: Educated to degree level or relevant experience in an Insights, Design, Product Category or Marketing based discipline is essential Experience of leading, motivating and inspiring a team is essential Excellent IT skills with the ability to use PowerPoint and Excel to advanced level, Adobe creative suite, Sketchup and rendering programmes desirable Proven experience in identifying emerging trends, filtering, and applying to a large scale, commercial business Can demonstrate experience of analysing qualitative and quantitative data and translating into actionable insights Excellent analytical skills and ability to think strategically, making commercial recommendations through data Commercial thinker who has experience of identifying opportunities for a fast-paced changing business Good understanding of design & product development processes advantageous.
